GUIDELINE FOR START BATTERY SELECTION – CHAPTER 2

a: Purely Starting:

• Requirement: Allow 10 starting attempts, each lasting 10 seconds, with 20-second intervals between each. After 10 starting cycles, the battery capacity must remain approximately 50%.
• Selection: Ah capacity as listed in article one above.

b: Additionally Powering Hidden Devices (e.g., Dash Cams, GPS Trackers, Smart Keys):

• Requirement: Devices consume 100mA continuously for 7 days. Required capacity is 16Ah.
• Requirement: Devices consume 100mA continuously for 14 days. Required capacity is 32Ah.
• This capacity must be added to the starting capacity mentioned above.

c: Powering Communication, Lighting, and Utility Equipment on Specialized Vehicles and Boats:

• Requirement: Utility devices with a power consumption of up to 100W continuously for 24 hours.
• 12V System Selection: Required capacity is 10A x 24h = 240Ah.
• 24V System Selection: Required capacity is 5A x 24h = 120Ah.

d: Powering High-Power Equipment up to 1 kW:

• Requirement: Powering equipment up to 1kW for 1 hour (1000Wh).
• 12V System Selection: Required capacity is 120A x 1h = 120Ah (1500Wh).
• 24V System Selection: Required capacity is 60A x 1Ah = 60Ah (1500Wh).
• If the power consumption and duration are greater, the required capacity must be increased proportionally.
