Lithium batteries have been replacing lead acid batteries in many fields such as phones, handheld devices, telecommunications, solar energy, electric vehicles, etc. The main difference between lithium batteries and lead ones is:
– 1/3 smaller and lighter than lead batteries with the same function
– 4-5 times more durable than lead batteries
– Low self-discharge, can still maintain discharge capacity after many months
– If left in a state of low charge for a long time, it will not be damaged and can be recharged and used
– Strong and stable current throughout the battery life. Unlike lead batteries, the second half of their life is often weak and they suddenly lose power.

However, lithium batteries have not been used to start cars and motorbikes due to some technical barriers.
